Linking family dynamics to dynamic successful relationships

I’m Kate, a psychodynamic psychotherapist offering online therapy for those navigating painful family dynamics and emotionally demanding relationships; patterns that
affect your personal life deeply, and then significantly influence how you feel, connect, and relate in the workplace.
How psychodynamic therapy works
Our earliest relationships shape the way we relate to others, and ourselves. When our early bonds were marked by criticism, control, neglect, addiction, often around family members struggling with their own mental health battles, a life-long sense of emotional confusion can arise, and often unconsciously drive a desire for work-obsession, success, and validation.
The internal tension, over-responsibility, workaholism, or people-pleasing you experience professionally may, in fact, echo the emotional roles you once held, or still hold, within your original family group.

Together, we’ll explore how the past still lives in the present, the impact this is having on you personally and professionally, and how you can free yourself from it.

Working psychodynamically (bringing the unconscious into your awareness), our sessions will illuminate the patterns that drive your reactions and relationships. As you gain understanding, you’ll begin to feel more stable, self-assured, and emotionally grounded; enjoying life more, personally and professionally.
So, perhaps you're here because...
You're tired of finding yourself caught in the same emotional cycles - anxiety, burnt out, or self-doubt - especially in relationships with partners, parents, and colleagues.

You're working so hard that you feel you no longer enjoy and embrace other aspects of life.

You're craving close, respectful relationships that just feel out of reach.

You're feeling out of control sometimes, and wondering where these intense feelings of anger or irritation come from.

That Imposter Syndrome is hijacking you when you least expect it and at crucial times; you feel you've lost your spark.

You're noticing addictive behaviours (drink, food, stimulants, porn) and worried about the hamster wheel you find you're in right now

On the outside you 'look' successful, but inside you're noticing sadness and loneliness; you're baffled as to why you don't feel better about life in general.

You can easily feel bullied, belittled or threatened by others, and you're wondering why your family and colleagues' comments and behaviours have so much power over you.
